Historical Tønsberg
Archaeological excavations in 1904 brought out history's largest and richest art craft finds from the Viking Age. Magnificent Oseberg ship 21,5 m long, Oseberg carriage, five carved posts with animal heads, four sleighs, beds, chests, handlooms and many others.
Swimming
There are many great opportunities for swimming along the most length of the Tønsberg’s coastline. We recommend Ringshaug beach, Skallevold, Fjærholmen and Lilleskagen.

Tønsberg’s Medieval Festival takes place in the first week of June. It is the Norway’s largest Medieval Festival. It attracts performers and artists from the whole Europe.
